If your kitchen is limited or you are pushed for time, cooking pizza in the microwave is a convenient option. However, a common problem is that the food can become soggy, but there is one thing you can do.
The temperature in the microwave will cause the sugar in the dough to melt, and once it hits 100ºC, it will go soggy but then will go hard – you want to prevent this.
For this method, you will need to place the pizza on a place and turn the power down on your microwave; it should only be around 40% power. You should then start reheating pizza for 45 seconds but do check it throughout to ensure that it hasn’t become soggy.
You won’t get that crispy crust but as long as the cheese melts and the toppings warm through, this is a quick way to reheat pizza. To improve the crust, you could pop it in a toaster oven after microwaving.
